The Wolverine 1000 mile collection came out a couple months ago, and I laid my eyes on them it was love at first sight. Anybody have $750 dollars to give me so I can buy a pair? Thanks.
I am a big fan of the Red Wing boot rise. You see plenty of men trecking the urban jungle in these workhorse boots, and they last forever. On the same note, they're pricey. So what can the budget minded man who still wants to look great in the winter find a sturdy and dependable masculine boot for less? Wolverine. You're welcome.
I am going to start something along with posting tracks you should be rocking, I am going to pick mixtapes that I think are awesome and would like to share with the world. So my very first pick for the Attic's weekly mixtape series is....
JJ-Kills.
JJ is from like, Sweden or something. I don't know who cares. Anyway he recently released a mixtape (click on the link to download.) He takes hip hop songs you know and love and gives them a dreampop feel, replacing the rapping with his soft ghostly crooning. It works pretty dang well in my opinion. Below is a preview of the first track so you can see what I mean. Load it up on your ipod and happy listening.
So I was going through Neil Barrett's fall '11 collection. Call me old fashioned, but I don't think scuba pants should be making a splash in menswear unless you're in water. But I do appreciate the creativity. At least it's better than the genie pants coming back. Ew.
So I was originally going to launch on New Years. But I was really hung over. So yeah good way to start 2011 off right? Right. So anyway. My first post is just going to be to let you all know what you will find over here in the attic. Basically, it's a menswear blog. So predominantly mens fashion, accessories, grooming, etc. But I will also post some things that I think will assist you in your arsenal of being the best that you can be. So in the coming week I will be compiling a list of must haves for spring '11 and where you can buy them. Spring mixtapes, reading lists and cool sites to waste your time at work on(they should at least be inspiring though.) So thanks, and happy reading.
